Midterm Elections: The American People Sent a Message.

We the People are:
  1. stupid,
  2. ill-informed,
  3. completely incapable of making an intelligent decision in support of our own self-interests.

In the South Carolina primary, Alvin Greene won the Democratic nomination for senate because his name was at the top of the list and because voters thought he was Al Green the singer. Greene, the non-singer, got 59% of the vote to beat candidate Vic Rawl.  Rawl was previously elected to the South Carolina House of Representatives four times.  (Apparently voters didn't mistake him for Lou Rawls the singer.)  Greene won despite very limited campaigning and campaign spending, having no website, no yard signs, unemployed and living with his father, being involuntarily discharged from the military, and under indictment on criminal charges for showing pornographic pictures to an 18-year old female college student.   Greene lost in the November election, but still got 27.65% of the vote.

In Delaware, running for the U.S. Senate, Christine O'Donnell, a former witch, who has spoken out against masturbation, doesn't believe in the theory of evolution, does believe there are mice with "fully functioning" human brains, received 40% of the vote.  (I also heard on Howard Stern that she has a hairy pussy.)
voting results

I could go on.
